Creator earnings calculators
Estimate what your audience is worth on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Each calculator uses published benchmarks and shows its working, not a made-up number.
- YouTube money calculatorEstimate what a YouTube channel earns from ads: enter monthly views, pick a niche, and get a range built on published CPM benchmarks and the 55% split.
- TikTok money calculatorEstimate TikTok Creator Rewards from your monthly qualified views. Rates vary by audience market, so you get a range, and only videos over a minute count.
- Instagram money calculatorWork out what to charge for a sponsored Instagram post: enter your follower count and engagement level for a realistic price range from industry benchmarks.
Which calculator do you need
These three platforms pay creators in genuinely different ways, so they are three different sums rather than one sum with the logo swapped. Pick by how the money reaches you, not by where you post most.
- YouTube: advertising revenue on a 55% creator share, where the niche an advertiser thinks it is bidding on moves the answer further than your view count does.
- TikTok: a payout from a shared pool on qualified views only, where the rate is set by where your audience lives rather than by what you made.
- Instagram: nothing is paid for reach here, so this one prices a sponsored post from follower count and engagement instead of estimating a payout.
Every honest estimate is a range
No platform publishes a payout table, so nobody can give you a figure. What can be given is the mechanism, the published benchmark spread around it, and the arithmetic in the open where you can check it against your own numbers.
- Advertiser demand sets the spread on YouTube: USD 40 per thousand views at the finance and investing ceiling against USD 2 at the entertainment and vlogs floor.
- Geography sets it on TikTok: USD 0.20 to USD 1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, decided by where your viewers happen to live.
- Engagement sets it on Instagram, where the multiplier runs from 0.8 to 1.6 on an otherwise identical post.
- Eligibility comes before any of it. Views on content that does not qualify, or on an account outside the programme, are worth nothing however many there are.
- A revenue split can sit between the rate and your balance, and on one of these three it does, so the gross figure and the figure you receive are different numbers.
- Everything quoted is gross USD, before tax, before currency conversion and before anybody you pay out of it.
- Nothing is fetched from any platform. These pages do not know whether your account exists, so an estimate is only as realistic as the numbers you typed into it.
The question people arrive with has no answer
Almost everybody comes looking for what a platform pays per view. There is no such figure, because a per-view rate is an outcome rather than a price: it is worked out backwards from a pool, a niche and an audience once the month has already happened.
- A rate another creator posted is their audience, their month and their share of a pool. It is not a published price you can apply to your own numbers.
- Two accounts of the same size in the same country can differ several times over on nothing either of them chose.
- Reach and money do not move together. Doubling views in a cheap advertising market moves the figure far less than the same doubling somewhere expensive.
- The platform payout is usually the smaller half of creator income, and the larger half sits outside every calculator in this family.
- The middle of a range is the most common outcome inside it, not a forecast of yours, and treating it as one is how a page like this does damage.
- Optimising for the input a calculator rewards, rather than the thing your audience turns up for, is the expensive version of the same mistake.
When a calculator is the wrong thing to be reading
It is worth saying plainly that most people who open one of these will not earn what it shows, because the ranges assume an account already at the size that was typed in and already inside a programme that pays out.
- If the number you entered is aspirational, the output is fiction with a currency symbol on it. Type what you have today.
- If you are picking a niche on advertiser rates alone, you are optimising the input you can least sustain, because you have to make several hundred of these.
- If you already have a payout history, it beats every benchmark on this site, and where the two disagree the history is right.
- If somebody else needs a figure they can rely on, a lender, a buyer or an accountant, this is the wrong kind of document entirely.
- If this is deciding whether to keep going, use the low end, after tax, in a quiet month, because that is the version you would have to live in.
You just fixed one post. Now do the month.

Frequently asked questions
How this tool works, what it cannot do, and what happens to what you put into it.
How much do creators actually earn?
There is no single figure, and anybody offering one is guessing. What is knowable is the mechanism behind each platform: YouTube shares advertising revenue, TikTok pays from a shared pool for qualified views, and Instagram pays nothing for reach, which is why income there is sponsorship. Each calculator shows the published benchmark spread for one of those and lets you check the sum.Which platform pays creators the most?
For the same number of views, YouTube advertising is normally the largest platform payout of the three, because advertisers bid directly against the video and the creator keeps 55% of what they pay. TikTok Creator Rewards is materially smaller per view. Instagram pays nothing for views at all, which does not make it the worst earner: it is the platform where sponsorship is the entire business.Do these calculators need my account or my login?
No. Nothing is fetched and nothing is connected. You type figures you already have from your own analytics, the arithmetic happens in the page, and two people entering the same numbers get the same answer. What is not included in any of these estimates?
Sponsorship, affiliate links, memberships, tips and gifts, and anything you sell yourself. On the other side, none of your costs are in there either: equipment, an editor, tax, currency conversion and an agency commission if you have one. Past the first few thousand followers, what sits outside these calculators usually adds up to more than what sits inside them.Is my data private?
Yes. This tool does its work in your browser, so whatever you type, paste or upload stays on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, which is also why it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded. Is this really free?
Yes. Every tool here is free with no account, no credit card and no usage cap. They exist so that the people who need our scheduling product find us, which only works if the tools are genuinely useful on their own.Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and use it. An account is only for OctoSpark itself, where you plan, schedule and publish a whole calendar rather than fixing one post at a time. Can I use the output commercially?
Yes. Anything you produce here is yours, including for client and commercial work. We claim no rights over it and we do not watermark it.
